Intro to XR: Designing the Future
Extended reality (XR) merges the real and virtual worlds, creating opportunities for new kinds of design work. In this 20-minute lightning talk, Nina Lin will give an overview of the emerging tech of XR and its connections to the broader tech landscape including the metaverse. She’ll also share resources for a deeper dive into the UX design of XR. Plus, we’ll have five Oculus Quest 2 headsets so you can try out the VR experience!

About Nina
Nina Lin was born in Japan and raised in Hawai’i and is a passionate youth advocate and Extended Reality (XR) entrepreneur. She is the CEO and Co-Founder of XRIO, an XR startup focused on harnessing the power of play and emerging technology to develop an educational platform of immersive games and experiences. Her professional background spans across a wide variety of fields including both digital and spatial design.
